斯里蘭卡工作模式第一天,來到所謂的椰子金三角之一的城市,參觀椰子油工廠。為了讓大家更了解椰子油是如何生產,在進廠之前,先停車看椰子是如何被去殼。平均一人一2000顆的椰子,在人力手工之下,將粗糙夠硬的殼給去除,再統一送到廠內去進行製油的工序。問管理者說,為什麼不用機器,要使用人工的方式?

因為,這是祖先們二三百年留下來的傳統,即使人工會比較高,產能也也較低,但如果不繼續的話,這項傳統技術將會失傳;所以寧可辛苦,也要讓傳統手工技術可以傳承。

從樹上採收下來的椰子到可以生產成我們可以買的冷壓椰子油,所需時時要一個多月,因為需要等椰子乾燥,因為需要人工們的去殼及洗淨。每一滴油背後是人工的辛苦,也是想為傳統繼續傳承的理念。

First working day at Sri Lanka was to Coconut Oil Factory which is located at coconut oil triangle city. To understand how a coconut can make the oil, you have to know how the shell is be removed. So, we stopped at the site first to see the shell to be removed. Totally labor work; avg 2000 coconut can be done per person.

Why not machine to do, but labor? Cause this is a traditional skill pass down generation to generation, and farmers want it to keep passing to their generations.

It takes more than a month to have virgin coconut oil be made after the coconut is harvest from a tree. By seeing it, appreciate each drop of oil, because it comes from each person's hard working in manual.
